At Living Way, we believe that the most important decision that you can make in your life is whether to become a true believer in Jesus Christ or not. It effects your entire future…and your eternity.
God gave to us His one and only Son to pay the price for the sin that separated all of us from Himself (John 3:16). And not only did His Son, Jesus Christ, die for us but rose from the dead on the third day. To truly believe this in your heart will bring you into relationship with the Father (Romans 5:1-2; 10:9-10).
Why Become a Believer?
Seeing the need to become a believer in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord starts with believing that the God of the Bible is the Creator of all things.
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” Psalm 24:1 NIV
God wanted a relationship with those He created, starting with the first man, Adam.
“For My Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.” John 6:40 NIV
“Now this is eternal life: that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.” John 17:3 NIV
Sin Separates Us From God
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 NKJV
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 NKJV
Bridging the Gap
People try all kinds of things to bridge the gap between themselves and God. But there is only one way:
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 NIV
God bridged the gap for us through the cross. God loves you and has a purpose for your life.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 NIV
Your Response
Accepting that Jesus is the “payment” for sin – or your personal Savior – brings you into right relationship with God.
“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

How You Can Receive Christ As Your Savior And Lord
It’s not hard to do. It’s free. The only “cost” to you is your faith in the finished work of Christ paying for your sin. Be willing to turn from your sins (that’s called “repentance”) and turning to God for salvation from your sin.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 NIV
Once you admit you are in need of a relationship with God, believe that Jesus died on the cross for you, rose again from the grave and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord, you ARE saved! You are then a part of the family of God!
